Maybe it's just me though. It got excellent reviews at the time and perhaps it's one of those albums that'll eventually just click into place. although it has been nearly a decade so perhaps not. anyway, as i said, their other albums are great and if nothing else the opening track "Conscious Life For Coma Boy" is quite pleasant...

Aerogramme - My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go
Well, It had to happen sooner or later. The first disappointment of the project. It's not a bad album as such, it's just that it's not particularly memorable, and from a band who were capable of so much more. Aerogramme were a scottish indie rock band signed to my favourite label "Chemikal Underground" and "My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go" was their final album before splitting in 2004. Its a quieter album overall than their previous albums and I remember at the time feeling that they were maybe attempting to go after a larger audience by toning down their sound and heading in a kind of coldplay/snow patrol type area, which for a band who had previously released split singles with post metal bands like Isis was a bit of a departure. That all said I must have liked it enough at the time to have bought it, but up until yesterday I can't remember listening to it at all apart from a few times immediately after bringing it home. Coming to type this up now, less than 24 hours after listening to it I can't remember much about the album at all.
