I used to bloody love 'A' when i was a kid. a few years before they had a few big hit's with "Nothing" and "Starbucks" they were a quirky kinda indie pop punk band (imagine the sound of all those teenage parties you never actually went to but would have quite liked to at the time with a guy who sounded a bit like Perry Farrell on vocals and his twin brother making strange synth noises in the background) and when i was 16 they were one of my favourite bands, and at that point they weren't particularly well know so to me, my cousin Tom and a few of my friends they felt like OUR band.
Foghorn was their debut single, and had been previously released on a free CD with Kerrang Magazine (which was where I first heard them). It's 3 minutes of noisy teenage shouty joy punk and listening back it still brings me out in a massive grin. Below there's a video of a live version of the song. I saw A supporting Symposium in Wolverhampton the night before one of my GCSE's in 1998. twas bloody awesome!
